In the south of Moldova, there's an entire region densely populated by a small but very colorful people – the Gagauz. To learn more about them, today we'll travel to Europe's largest village, where we'll sample Gagauz cuisine, go fishing, and see the fossilized remains of an ancient horse. Then, at the ethnographic museum, we'll see how the Gagauz people used to live, take a few photos at an old mill, and invite ourselves to visit the locals to learn how they live today. A trip to a basement is also a must.

The 120 kilometers fly by, as always when you're heading south. Before we could even finish our coffee, we were in Gagauzia. They don't ask for a passport here, but it's a nice place for a memorable photo. We just waved from the window at the autonomy's capital, Comrat. We'll pop in some other time, but for now, we're just passing through. Today, we're interested in Congaz, Besalma, and the lake they're sandwiched between.

For some reason, FărăZAGRAN issues aren't always found by these keywords: fara zagran, fără zagran, фэрэ zagran, and фэрэзаград. Very strange!
