Thank you for being the only influencer in here that is telling the truth! Seen several videos of this new unit, but they weren't transparent like this one.

I built my own power Station with Eco-Worthy 5000W Inverter and 2 100AH Batteries.

Great test, I which you would test all of past product in UPS mode, like the EcoFlow,Bluetti apex 300, Jackery 5000, Anker F3800, Pecron 5000. Would like to see if it can power on 4 ton AC unit with a micro-air easy start flex.

each 120V 20 amp receptacle can only sustain a continuous load of 16 amp. that’s 1920 watt.

If they allow more than 2000 w sustain through the receptacle, thats actually a fire hazard.

the transformer from utility also assumes you did your job and properly balanced the load between two or three switch leg.

a 10 kVA transformerfor home will only supply 5kw to each leg/plug.

So the fact Jakery supplies 2 kw on each of the poles of their 240v 2 pole inverter is basic electrical power design and expected.

Thanks for the video! You're explanation regarding the 4000 watt limitation in "UPS" mode is much more transparent than any other video I've seen so far. I always trust The Solar Lab reviews above all others!

I like to take my power stations out for regular wagon rides. It helps us to bond I think. Even if that is only a neutral bond... ;-) Glad to see that you are out neutral bonding with your off-grid power stations too.

Love the concept as a 240v UPS. As this tech matures, this will make the transfer to self reliant solar much easier. I give it 5-10 years. Keep it up jackery!!

@pdubyaz 3 months ago

These things would be neat if they would just ditch the stupid proprietary solar inputs.

Great information. My biggest concern is backup power for my well pump and being able to go off grid when I feel like it.

@johntate5284 3 months ago

Really good price for a Jackery. Would have liked seeing it paired with the Jackery home panel instead of the standard sub panel where you could set it up with loads specifically set up for it's limitations. Having a TT-30 for 30A 120V service would have been a great addition as load balancing sucks without an autotransformer, which would add significantly to the price. Thanks for reviewing!

EXCELLENT presentation !

Really enjoy your channel. Good information said so we all can understand. I actually purchased a Jackery Explorer Plus Portable Power Station based on your channels information. So thank you.

Thanks yet again. I've watched several reviews on this thing, and none mentioned some of these important details to be aware of.

I was a couple days behind watching this, but real reviews like this is why I respect this channel and always really look forward to most of your videos, and also why I used the codes from this channel for about $2k in PPS purchases over Amazon Prime Days that wrapped up yesterday.

I still think what Jackery has created here is still super cool for the right use-case, and after watching this, people can decide that.

Just the fact it is so flexible in ~ anything in, anything out, simultaneously, on its own is really great.

13:00 "now you 12% because you never charged it" - how, exactly, did you expect to charge it when you you throughputing all 9kW (80% of 50amp at 240V) it could possibly process? There is nothing left to charge with when you are giving away everything it gets...

2:30 "Hey...that's not Tiny Baby!"

@trustbuster23 3 months ago

When I saw this I was super interested in it. The reason why is that I have a well pump, so I need 240v. But I don't need much else and those bigger, more expensive systems are kind of overkill for me. And I love that you could charge it with a little 120v only inverter generator. But I'm worried about the surge rating. I'd want to see people successfully using this with a 3/4 hp well pump without tripping the overload. My pump is running on a 20amp, 240 circuit, but I guarantee you it is pulling way more than the maximum sustained load for that circuit on start-up. I think it could be a cost-effective solution for a lot of folks, but the obvious use case for this is someone like me, and the inverter may be just a tad too small.

Good concept but need inproving

@eddienieves7659 3 months ago

Fantastic explanation. I watched all the hype videos last week and they barely touched on the functionality of the bypass power from the wall. You answered my question exactly.....how is it UPS for an entire house with a 4K inverter.
Thank you

Can you run a quick test on parallel operation? Show what the setup should look like with shots of what to expect to see on the unit's screens and on the app. One thing in particular, how do you charge the paralleled units when not being used to get ready for the next power outage. THX!
