This was originally uploaded to my channel back in 2013 but unfortunately I had to take it down. This is a slightly edited reupload to try to fit YouTube's standards.

Summary: A noble gesture by a royal guard forces Luna to confront her loneliness and her ideals of love.

This is why Luna was my choice and not Celestia. Because a pony who has known love and friendship all her life can easily loose respect for those emotions. But a pony who has had no pony to love her knows the value of admiration and knows compassion. This is why Luna was my choice. Because she isn't a perfect princess. But at her core. She is a good friend.

Just because it looks likes you are alone doesn't mean you really are alone. Those closest to you will always be in your heart.

Truly beautiful, Scribbler. I... I don't think I've ever cried so much listening to a fic reading... but you have certainly made that happen... and I couldn't be happier for it. Thank you for blessing us with this beautiful reading and always continue to be your awesome beautiful self.

Luna is my favorite when I was younger I use to be mad when she wasn't on TV I respond with her so much

This was so beautiful it has had me in tears at the end.
“you don’t have to be royalty to be famous and it takes a small thing to make it big” that should be the moral for this story

this wouldn't even be a sadfic if that doctor didn't take 17 world wars to get to the scene

We have had enough sad fanfic but this one is good.

This.....this was beautiful....
Honestly, I didn't cried a long time ago, since I'm starting to be more and more numb each day. I'm afraid of feeling so I started to build a wall around my heart. But this....
I just can't put into words how much do I relate to this and how beautiful this is...
Thank you Scribbler!

God dang it! The feels, the feels are everywhere! Someone needs to animate this pronto! In all seriousness though, you're really good at what you do, so good that you kinda got me into MLP again after a long hiatus. Thanks for the vids, and keep up the good work!👌 😊👍

I feel like most of the fandom likes luna because she’s more relatable. I also want to say how amazing this reading was, I started listening while I was getting ready for school. The reading made me cry. Good job everyone who worked on this ❤️
