In complex 4 the mitochondria make deuterium depleted water. Deuterium plugs up atp synthase (due to the extra neutron) . Processed food, water from around the equator/coconut water is higher in deuterium, this plugs up the atp synthase nanomotor.

So interesting ! Avoid obesogens and no fructose neither cooked oils! Try to get less O2! But what is the link with body température. Are cold showers a great idea to reset mitochondrial function but it could increase Cortisol?

OK Dr. Lustig, you asked for feedback, so here it is: I thought that anti-oxidants (in food) were (often) actually pro-oxidants, that your body then responds to, creating it's own internal anti-oxidants? Doesn't that change what you're saying? When I asked AI, it said that it was not just the ROS being created, it said that it's not the quantity of ROS created, but the cascade effect. AI summary (question was burning carbs, sat fats, or PUFAs): "In summary, burning carbohydrates creates a cleaner electron flow with less initial ROS generation. Burning PUFAs inherently produces a greater initial volume of mitochondrial ROS and uniquely introduces the risk of structural, self-propagating oxidative damage within cell membranes." The lower body temperature could also be explained by burning more PUFA, instead of saturated fats (which burn hotter). (It was also unclear to me if you were saying that ALL people today have lower body temperatures, or only the metabolically unwell.)
