so first of all this year was harder because more applicants applied: acceptance rates went way down.
Second of all: you're an international student!!!! Like caltech   international acceptances is like 10% which means that the acceptance rate is like waaaayyyy lower. idk what you did in high school but that's just boss right there.

Your mom is so adorable and your dad is calm and cool and collected.  They are so sweet.  You are blessed to have their support!!  Congrats on your acceptances!!
