Her version of Sting's Fields of Gold is also very beautiful.

Rachel's expressions look like she's really listening to the words of this song of a longing rembrance of love. The other keeps a never changing smile on her face throughout the sadness.

An angelic voice so compelling, robust, sweet and irresistible .... one can only marvel at her talent ..... and then sadly recall she is in THE LORD'S CHOIR since 1996 ............ and indeed I miss EVA CASSIDY ..... God blessed and gone too soon.

She deserved to be a much bigger star than she was, I don't think she realised just how good she was. Sensational voice. I have her Songbird Album.

Now you are ready for her JAZZ.....thank you again for keeping her music alive

Listen to her sing "Cheek to Cheek" from the same Blues Alley video. She OWNS that song. But what am I saying? She owns every song she sang. She's the GOAT, in my humble opinion.

Try Stormy Monday for her bluesier side.

This was recorded live, At Blues Alley on January 3 1996 in Georgetown, Washington D C. Sadly on November 2 1996 nearly 10 months later She would pass away from melanoma skin cancer at the age of 33.

Like others are say Stormy Monday, Fields Of Gold, are classics. Her Time After Time and Nightbird are unmatched.
Many of these are also done at Blues Alley and are the quintessential covers.
Thanks so much for sharing and keeping Eva's artistry alive.

Up beat Eva is not to be missed.
