Day 2 of the UMB Go Beyond Leadership Camp 2026 delivered one of the most powerful sessions of the week — a Mentor Showcase hosted by Imam Youcef Kouidri, introducing two of the UMB Masjid Mentors, Ray and Munir, to the young men on camp.

In this 1 hour 20 minute session, Ray and Munir open up about their personal journeys — the struggles, the turning points, the moments that pulled them closer to Allah ﷻ, and what continues to drive them to serve the Muslim community through the UMB Masjid. Imam Youcef guides the conversation with heart, humour and hard truths, drawing out lessons every young Muslim brother needs to hear.

🎯 What you'll take away from this session:
• The reality of being a Muslim mentor in today's world
• How Ray and Munir found purpose through the Masjid
• Why serving the Ummah is the greatest form of leadership
• Honest advice for young Muslim men navigating faith, identity and brotherhood
• The mission behind UMB and the "Go Beyond" movement

Whether you attended the camp or you're watching from anywhere in the world, this session is a reminder that mentorship is a sacred trust — and that every one of us has a story that can inspire someone else to walk the path of Allah ﷻ.
