Thanks for the explanatory video, Bill. I'm 1.89m tall myself and I use 90mm wheels; for me, they're the perfect size, even though I sometimes enjoy the speed of 110mm wheels. However, the 90mm wheels give me flexibility, maneuverability, and stability.

Just getting back into inline skating myself. I went for the Rollerblade Lightning 80mm. I cannot wait for them to arrive.

I really like that you strive to create focused, several-minute videos that convey the essence of your thoughts. These days, many YouTubers create videos that are 40-60 minutes long, and half the message is about what ice cream they ate today, or that, I don't know, why they don't like cloudy weather, while the topic of what wheels are best for street skating is analyzed from a million different perspectives that not even a fraction of humanity has grappled with.

Totally agree with your opinion. After a full season of riding my 90mm wheels — which are now probably around 80mm — I’d say that halfway down, at about 85–84mm, I really started to feel comfortable. Still fast enough, but with noticeably improved maneuverability compared to when they were new at 90mm. Great video!

I like the 90 mm ones because eventually I wear them out. I've been measuring the diameter of my wheels with a caliper, and what used to be 90 mm is now a 81.85 mm average. At the moment they are quite slow, and at 90 mm perhaps a little high due to my setup, but there's a sweet period  of ideal wheel size for the wheel lifetime I expect. There's plenty of factors to take into account for ideal wheel size, but if you expect to wear the wheels down quite a bit before changing to new ones I would take that into account as well :)

I'd love to go up to Canada and see you in person. I feel like you skate a lot like I do and it would be fun to go on a skating trip around town.

I'm a 3  x 110 fan for urban skating.  As someone who is far less talented than yourself they allow me to blast through rough terrain w/out stumbling/falling...  they also require less effort to go fast and I am better at sliding them then I am on my 4 x 80 skates that I use at the rink.

I ride on 80mm, 84mm and 90mm. I like stability and agility while skating in my city, since there are so many obstacles on the way. 90mm are a bit better in going over cracks and uneven ground. I started with 84mm and I still love this size.

You might love the Swan frames: 90mm on the outside, 84 on the inside (so same height as the 84 frame), slightly rockered. Big front wheel to deal with urban terrain, only 6mm per end longer than 4x84mm.

Great video as always.  I run 90x4, 110x4 and 125x3.  Each size has their pros and cons.  For me, goes most maneuverable, speed/distance, best of both worlds respectively.  It's fun to have different sets for different moods.

The small wheels are small and slow, but you can easily skate around town..just more cardio (but much quicker start and stops).  The big wheels go up stairs fine (turn and go up with crossovers). Each size wheel has a pro and con and is designed for different styles.

3/110 is right for most of my skating. I do use 4/90 endless and 4/110 frequently.

How hard wheels you use? I have 84mm and 85A myself. Have tried 88A too, but i feel they are little bit too fast for my skill level.

I'm mostly an aggressive skater and have had my eyes peeled on some larger wheel setups lately - I was able to snag a mint condition set of Symmetrics UFS84 frames with fresh wheels for just 130usd this past week and I am so excited to see this pop up in a bit of synchronicity.

I’m a beginner. I’m learning with 76 and 80 mm. I will go up to 84 when I get better at control.
