It's worth being old now, to have been young then,
The 60's,70's, 80's

It warms my heart and almost brings a tear to my eye to see a young rocker not too proud to revere a great legend from a past generation. I'm very fortunate to have played with greats like Albert King, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Milton, etc,and I greatly appreciate, respect, and honor your fine work here young man.

I find it deeply satisfying to see a young hard rock musician studying, enjoying, and respecting musicians from previous generations in a different genre of music. Nice to see how good music can bring people together. Thanks for posting this.

The thing about Glen as a guitarist is that he had such a great voice that his playing was sometimes overlooked by the general public.  But musicians always knew he was a guitar monster!

Glen Campbell, Roy Clark and Chet Atkins. The Mount Rushmore of country music guitarists.

Hey, Fil--notice how your respect for Glen (and others) leads to so many commentators having respect for you?  This is what we need a lot more of in society; this loop of positive appreciation...

This young guy is one of the most likeable people I've ever seen giving commentary on the internet. Very knowledgeable, very positive. Well done, sir!

Most people don't realize what an amazing musician Glen was. He played on so many albums as a studio musician as well.  He played on many Beach Boys albums, and actually took over for Brian Wilson on a tour and only had 2 weeks to prepare....he played bass and sang Brian's vocals.  The Alice Cooper interviews about Glen are really amazing as well, as they were great pals.

I was the Associate Director on that show...loved every minute of it

I’m 52 , ashamed to say I’ve only just started listening to glen Campbell , can’t believe what I’ve been missing !!!!!

One of the most remarkable things about Glen is that he doesn't read a note of music. He was simply blessed in abundance with a God given talent.

And don’t forget who wrote this beautiful song , John Hartford was one of the most amazing song writers and banjo players not to mention was an incredibly talented fiddle player 🙏🏻 great video !

Alice Cooper called Glen Campbell the greatest guitar player he ever heard. That is praise.

He never forgot how to play the guitar, it was the deepest part of him.

One thing is for sure,  this British guy commenting on Glen Campbell LOVES music. It's refreshing to see someone appreciate others. Today it almost seems like appreciation is considered as a zero sum game,  as if appreciation for you is appreciation lost for me. Keep it up young fella.

Glen's voice was so Golden that people overlooked what an incredible guitarist he was.  Plus he made it all look so effortless.  RIP Mr Campbell.

I grew up listening to Glenn Campbell and never really realized what an incredible talent he was. So nice to see such an intelligent and appreciative analysis. Kudos!

Crystal Gayle is sitting near Glen.  My wife's family used to drive her to church many years ago in Wabash, IN.

Roy Clark is there too.  Hard to surpass that man's ability.

I read that Alice Cooper was asked by Eddie Van Halen for an introduction to Glen because he wanted a guitar lesson from him.
