"Fratta Carbonara" compie 25 anni

History returns to Fratta Polesine. The 25th anniversary of the cultural event dedicated to the Carboneria Days will be a rich one. It's an event that extends beyond the confines of Fratta. The presentation of the calendar, scheduled for October 17th to November 15th, took place yesterday morning in the evocative setting of Villa Molin Avezzù Pignatelli.
After a welcoming address from the mayor of Fratta Polesine, Giuseppe Tasso, the floor was given to Deputy Mayor Alessandro Baldo: "This is a truly important edition. I would also like to remember the illustrious Mario Cavriani. It was he, in fact, as a beacon of local culture, who initiated this event." These words elicited warm applause. "A heartfelt thank you," Baldo added, "goes to the Avezzù family, who allows us to use these spaces, delaying the start of some renovations. Also, a special mention goes to the Manegium, the 'Al Pizzon' mill, the Fiesso and Polesella libraries, and the Costa-Fratta comprehensive school."
As usual, the artistic direction is being handled by the Farinelli family, for whom Selene Farinelli spoke: "Not just the well-known events, but many other appointments. This year, we will also have many professionals, such as the 'Fabula Saltica' company and the Giona family."
Professor Maria Lodovica Mutterle, director of the Casa Museo Matteotti, then gave an overview of the guests, who will be responsible for the historical part. She also emphasized the involvement of the students, who will be "Ciceroni per un giorno" (guides for a day) in the Carbonaro journey.
The program begins on October 17th at 5:30 pm with "The Great Return of the Carbonari," curated by Professor Roberto Balzani, in the civic hall of Casa Matteotti. This will be followed by a carbonari aperitif and, in the evening, a carbonari banquet at Villa Molin Avezzù Pignatelli.
