I've learned a ton of new things from this I never knew back when I actually played the game. 1. Ecco needs air 2. There is a legitimate storyline and quest 3. Those crystals are not decoration
Like so many others I could never figure this game out. Never knew what to do or where to go. But the graphics, music, art style and atmosphere were so engrossing I would just swim around doing nothing for hours.
Could never figure this game out for the life of me when I was younger. Thank god I never made it to the final boss. I would've been fucking traumatized!!
Always remember the atmosphere in this as being calm but also incredibly eerie like there's something not quite right about things. Bubbling under the surface no pun intended.
Scariest video game ever. I felt so scared for ecco and his pod, I never wanted to start the quest. Then seeing the last levels from cheats never helped. This game still scares me 20 years later.
This game... I just shed tears watching this. One of the best (and my first game) in my life! First time playing it as a kid, I got scared when the sea animals got sucked into the sky. And first time that I felt loneliness in a video game as I scramble deep into the undersea cave.
For me, this is simply THE best game of my life. And salute to the guy who did this longplay! I never finished this game, and my Sega console is broken now :/ yeah my heart also bleed atm :/
Anyway, I hope some guy made a remake of this game, will make my happiness meter soaring to the galaxy! But I know some good indie devs do have awesome side scrollre games, and that makes me happy too!
