There was a guy sitting behind us from Tennessee. He said, "37-7 doesn't surprise me, but I didn't think it would be at the half." I thought to myself, ("You ain't seen nothin' yet.) He left during the third quarter.
Two proud traditions. I grew up a Vols fan, but I love Mariota and what Oregon has done recently. How can you hate either of these teams? Both are down but rising again. Go Ducks and Vols!
This was a fun game to be at and Oregon fans were clowning hard on the Vols fans lol, but major props to so many Vols for making the trip at least. This game had maybe 4-5x the number of away fans who typically show up, and I haven't seen a team come close since, before or after (maybe Nebraska). Beavers fans wish they could show up at Autzen in numbers like that, but 40 miles is a long journey for a beaver I guess.
Do Tennessee fans hold a little bit of a grudge if someone like Mariota BEATS YOU UP like this on a college level BUT later plays for you professionally (and still plays quite well for you)??🤔🤔🤔
and 9 years later the Duck mentality and play ideals were instituted at Tennessee, go big orange ducks.... the Mariota years were the most dynamic football ...
Looking back at this game from 2026 and the disaster in the playoffs again. Oregon needs the same movement they used back in the Mariota days where they really did a slow speedup where you keep the defense off balance, which also helps he QB
I love the state I was born and raised in. Where I had my children… but the ducks bring all these people in from out of state and all our good high school kids go out of state. It’s all dumb these days… and now they’re paying these kids? wtf? Why???
