In every pharmacy in Italy, theres always a pharmacist doctor who knows how to help you

Important thing, the ambulance call and trasportation  is free of charge.

My German-American boss broke her leg while she was in Rome years ago and had to go to a hospital there. Costs: zero.

In farmacia in Italia ci sono dottori no commessi. Le farmacie italiane sono presidi sanitari

When my father had a stroke, in 6 minutes We had doctors in the home.
We live in Milano, and it's more easy to have an help, but if you call, doctors run

Italy is in this insight particularly good, but every european country does it better than the USA.

actually 112 is the emergency number in ALL Europe

Hi there! For Italian citizens, it's even cheaper.
My mother is 100% disabled and suffers from severe respiratory failure, along with other minor issues related to this condition. Naturally, all the oxygen tanks she depends on 24/7 are provided to her completely for free. Additionally, the National Health System covers the cost of all the medications she needs to treat her conditions.

The ER is also free. They introduced a co-pay (ticket) a while ago, but only because some people were abusing the system and going in when there was nothing wrong with them. To curb this misuse, if you go to the ER now and you are actually fine (maybe you're just a hypochondriac), you have to pay a fee, which I think is around 25 or 50 euros. But if you are truly sick, you don't pay anything at all.

If it's  an emergency ambulances are free.

Thank you for this video rich in excellent content, very interesting."

Grazie 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

In Italy if you need emergency , is free even if you are foreign, even if you are hospitalized, it's all free , surgery,  everything you need

A Reggio Emilia e provincia, funziona così. Distinti saluti

I would also like to add that in the pharmacy they also measure your blood pressure for free.

JUST A NOTE: 112 is GENERAL EMERGENCY so including Police and Firemen... which might take longer... Direct MEDICAL EMERGENCY is 118 (118 works great especally if you are in some remote countryside of sorts where addresses aren't clear/known.... the 118 operator will mobilize an ambulance for you and even pass you directly to speak with the driver on board if he's having trouble finding you - AGAIN THESE ARE MERGENCY NUMBERS, not if you have a headache or ate too much ravioli, do not clog them if you're not in real need).
