I remember the joke in the pink shoes movie where Barbie was in the magical ballet land and she was like "I can't get married, I'm only 17", and the 2 peasant guys say "well it's never too late to start", "you don't look a day over 16"

barbie diaries YES a queen isn't afraid of telling the truth

I was born with terminal horse girl disease and also a third front tooth that required dental surgery when I was 6 and my mom brought me to Toys R Us and let me pick out ANY barbie i wanted but I wouldn't get it unless I behaved in survery. I got that articulated Horse Beretta with the big wings and cherished it. That made Magic if Pegasus my barbie movie

i think princess and the pauper gets a lot of recognition because of some really standout elements (some good songs, the dynamic between the girls, preminger, etc) but i also really agree that i don't think it's one of the strongest overall/top 10 material. i respect that you stuck by your principles and stayed true to your heart

“Trying once is easy discipline is hard but nothing can defeat me if the change is in my heart” is genuinely such an amazing line I think about it all the time

12 dancing princesses was my number 1 favorite. i have three sisters and we all played with barbies together and this movie was perfect for having lots of sisters

I remember getting princess charm school on DVD as a kid but I was so embarrassed I loudly exclaimed that it was going to be a great gift for my (non-existent) little sister in front of the cashier

I blame musketeer for my obsession to collect everything in pink purple blue and green

You are so real for hating on those 3d animal companions x'D They were the one thing that even gave kid-me the impression of "I'm too old for this shit".

Fashion fairytale has always been my favorite Barbie movie. I’ve always been a fan of that weird period of girls fashion where Paris was the coolest place ever. Shirts with a glittery Eiffel Tower and a pink poodles. Having characters drawn like fashion sketches was also popular with this style. It’s just unapologetically girly and I love that

hard agree about tika. she is an evil, nefarious beast, and i can just feel it through my screen

I am contractually obligated to shout out my favorite Barbie movie, the Magic of Pegasus. Yes it’s partially nostalgia but it definitely holds up with the single best Ken/Barbie romantic subplot out of any of the ones I’ve seen. Also I’m a bit of a horse girl at heart and it has pegasi so. It takes the crown for me

i was so sad neither of the marmaid tale movies didnt make it on this list. the music was great and the plot had stakes and also mermaid barbie, enough said.

I remember when your first Barbie ranking video dropped lol. RIP spontaneous combustion we remember you fondly

As a kid from a poor family I connected with Blaire from Princess Charm School SO MUCH. Her constant struggle to do whatever she can to support her family and the brief argument she had with Dame Devin during the gentrification scene was chefs kiss.

my entire family constantly quotes "how dare she. i wanted that cake." from princess charm school 😭

BARBIE AND THE PINK SHOES MENTION OMG MY FAVORITE!!!

I agree with your opinion about Barbie in a Christmas Carol. We see Eden’s facial expressions when Catherine says something that makes your heart melt. Like Catherine telling Eden that her being there was enough for her was so sweet and the way she defends Eden against her sister when she had every right to agree, just shows that Catherine never gives up on people (at least in the present, because we see what happened if Eden continued her ways)

My favorites are the Magic of Pegasos, Princess Charm school, Barbie Diaries, 12 dancing princesses, Island princess

I’m going to actually watch this but first I have to make my personal case for Princess and the Pauper. The reason I believe it’s the best is probably partially because of my nostalgia glasses, but it’s also the only movie I’ve convinced a handful of people that wanted nothing to do with Barbie watch and look forward to watching multiple times a year. Perhaps the camp and Preminger specifically is making up for a lot of what the movie lacks, but there is no other Barbie movie I can convince my friends to watch and for me that speaks for itself. It’s also just a masterpiece, but that’s my opinion.
