I did this exact job the other day but i didnt bother taking out the glazing and used these clip in window anchors that came with the windows. I also siliconed around the frames and then flashed between them and the breather membrane using bitumen tape and a hair dryer, for some extra protection 😊

Great video mate ! I got rehau window as well and uppon installing I hit that metal bar inside the frame. I did not know you can drill thru .. thanks for this information.. I searched all the internet and nobody talks about this. 👍

I’m still a bit skeptical about the foundation, though. Ultimately, the weight of the building is being carried by the screws used to attach the base frame to the posts. Wouldn’t it have been better to have the base sitting directly on top of the posts instead? So the weight is then transferred directly to the posts? Thanks

Hi mate, great job, looking forward to part 8! i have a quick question do the staples you stapled in not need to be taped up on the membrane? as surly now you have holes here? or does it not matter, Thanks

Love these videos so much more information than other videos I’ve seen. Can’t wait to start my build next year following your design. Will have to go for the cold roof I think due to height restrictions. When is part 8 out?
What was the frame measurement in the end? 4.2 x 2.4?

Great work, it was stresful to watch though :D I mean I am comfortable working with wood, but setting in the windows and doors looks... not easy!
Looking forward to the next part.

I have to ask, were you able to keep within budget? I would assume so with your precise planning but there are always surprises!
