I've never had so much fun discovering things and learning all the little Quirks Stardew keeps hidden away. I hope you enjoyed the video.

"As much as some of you may disagree, talking with my mother is not combat." is an amazing joke to come up with on the fly.

Fun fact! The Burglar's ring doesn't double loot, it makes every enemy you kill roll the loot table two times, which when paired with the book giving a double loot chance means you can in theory roll the same loot item and double each one for 4 times the loot!

Now I need a picture of Solo just looking into his hands Crying "So this is it huh? Some seeds, some grass, and some bat wings."

Honestly, you could've defined the rules to be a lot more loose and made life easier for yourself, but you really went all the way and I respect that.

Fun Fact: enemies do spawn on the first floor of the mines! It's quite rare, but you can get rock crabs to spawn, which can drop cherry bombs.
Also: those stationary crabs can be woken up by running into them for a bit

From the Stardew wiki day cycle page-
"Depending on the season, nightfall is at different times. In Spring and Summer, it is 8pm, while in Fall it is at 7pm and Winter is 6pm. At nightfall, the background noise may change, and indoors the windows turn dark and lamps and sconces light up. Indoor locations also become dark at night (unless fully lit by light sources), but if nightfall happens while you are indoors it stays light until you exit and re-enter. At night outdoors, it does not immediately become full dark, but gradually becomes darker over time."

And yes, I read the wiki too much 😂

lool i love how he did no research before starting this challenge, it truly was a challenge for him and us too 😂😂

Literally day 1: The spirits are displeased "I have terrible fortune". Stardew knows him well

If anyone is curious, the mystery slime at 1:06:46 is because of 2 slimes that spawned at night breeding - for some reason the baby slimes don't despawn the next day (you can actually set up slime farms with it too though it's a pain and doesn't give combat xp)

The errant slime you found at 2pm was probably from slimes breeding overnight on your farm. Slimes that come from breeding don't despawn in the morning :)

I always find it fun seeing people who are mostly casually familiar with Stardew attempt challenge runs, so many things that would be obvious to a veteran just blindside people, stuff like the special orders board or the traveling cart having bombs

This guy named Combat was basically born for combat. Within a month, basically cleared out the whole mines to level 120, became a legendary adventurer and protector of Stardew Valley by soloing the monster eradiction WITHIN a month, from fall 5th of being able to go down the mines from the 5th floor.

Along the way, Combat found TWO holy swords like the Valley of Stardew itself was trying to say to him that he was a hero that has more than enough promise to go into the path of combat with great success, with honor and integrity.

On the 11th day of winter, completed 120 floors of the mines. Then with sixteen days, Combat prepared offerings to the spirits of nature's caretakers in order to fix the bus with their mystical ways.

THEN within a day, proceeded to use a prismatic shard in what might the ancient forge of dwarves and got a galaxy sword, and sweeped the skull cavern's monsters down to their knees and reached Floor 100 without cheating, having great integrity as the Valley had foreseen.

This is like a story that would be sung in taverns and pubs by bards, wherein in thirty years you're a legendary figure of great feats, and within five generations would be a historical myth, only to be proven to be true in shock within a more developed era that such a fine adventurer existed back in the day not as fiction in their world, but a real living being who had done incredible feats.

I clicked on this video from my homepage and didn't look closely at the creator, so I was watching most of this video thinking 'damn, this guy seems really masochistic, why is he putting himself through this'. Then I realized you were the solo ffxiv guy and it all made sense

In Stardew, if you keep walking into an NPC, you will eventually walk through them. This works to trigger Rock Crabs, but you'll take damage doing it.

I believe Rock Crabs can spawn on Floor 1 of the mines as well. But obviously it's hard to tell and rare.

rath i find it absolutely fascinating just how much you can go into a seemingly simple challenge run with zero expectations or understanding of what it entails, somehow stumble your way into solutions no one else can come up with, and dredge up absolutely cursed knowledge that no one else ever thought to check. you're an absolute specimen, keep up the great work :D

3:57 Omg, 4 minutes in and: "this has gotten a lot worse than I thought it was going to be". This is gonna be good 😂

Even in a different game, Rath finds a way to get stuck doing the Palace of the Dead equivalent.

What a joy to see someone discover the burgler ring for the first time :)  And what a brave adventure, to do a combat challenge with so little knowledge of combat. Very entertaining video.

Literally woke up and chose violence
