I miss rasslin like this. I grew up on stars like these.

Obese guys like  Adrian Adonis, Buddy Rose. and Blackwell, were some of the best workers of the 80's.

Growing up watching AWA Jerry Blackwell was one of the heels I hated most.

But dang he was so good for such a big man!

I never knew that Kamala wrestled in the AWA.  I first saw him in World Championship Wrestling in Texas.  RIP Kamala & Crusher Blackwell,

This was a body slam challenge done six months after Wrestlemania 1's version with Andre and John Studd.

The Rick Steiner cameo made this worth watching though.

He stood 5'9". Yeah, a mountain...

Sheik has an actual sword. Uses it like a club. Wonders why he can never permanently defeat Blackwell.

Blackwell was obviously in poor shape at this point, hard to believe David Crockett tried to steal him away from Verne that night (as Greg said in a shoot). 😒

If that 10k check was from Verne you can bet its still bouncing.

Not a chance that Blackwell was 473lbs, and for sure not a chance he was 133lbs heavier than Kamala!
