Why did High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi rush to Delhi on the evening of October 5? According to media reports, his visit to Delhi was with an urgent message from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. Surprisingly, neither Bangladesh nor India published this message. On the morning of October 6, Prime Minister Modi had a long 40-minute conversation. But there is no account of what was discussed. After that, Dinesh Trivedi met with the Army Chief. There was an official explanation about what was discussed. But beyond the published discussion, this meeting was to deal with Sheikh Hasina's return to the country and a possible attempt on her life later. This is the report on this.
