She Left Islam and the Occult—Then Encountered the Power of God - #89 Jahan Berns

A Stronger Faith

Jahan Berns was raised in deep spiritual darkness. After her father was assassinated in Uganda, she was drawn into Islam and later occult practices—experiencing nightmares, demonic torment, and overwhelming fear for years.

Then one night, she opened a Bible to Psalm 91—and the power of God came rushing into her life.

In this gripping episode, Jahan shares how God freed her from demonic oppression, fear, and rage through His Word, His presence, and His name. She describes angelic visitations, her moment of salvation, and the supernatural authority she discovered through Jesus Christ.

👉 If you’ve ever wondered whether God still moves in power—this testimony will leave no doubt.

I was delivered from Alcohol last week. After 18 years of being a functioning alcoholic, and desperately wanting to quit but being unable to stop the craving for it. I finally got so fed up and I just asked in my head, What is it going to take to make me quit. I heard a voice in my say, Think about all it has taken from you. While I was a functioning alcoholic, I know that it cost me my closeness with some of my children. It was in that instant that all desire to drink left my body. Thank you Jesus!! 🙏

So awesome! Her Bible just “happened” to fall open to Psalm 91. The weapons of our warfare are mighty!

Wow I just started crying when she said she opened the word to Psalms 91. I used to read it every night when I found it. I couldn’t fall asleep out of fear. Oh God! He’s so merciful and a comforter.
Praise Jesus! That was the first scripture I learned.

I have engaged in so much warfare specifcally in my dreams. I dreamed last week Jesus was sitting next to me and on His lap He had a cage inside was a snake chained up. The snake was hissing at me but couldnt bite me😭 Praise the Lord Jesus🙌

Until the churches see that the spiritual gifts did NOT die with the apostles, we will have countless Christians unable to walk in truth and light.
Thank you for sharing your testimony on this much needed podcast.

Just started watching last week and I’ve been changed in an extreme way…I was a cessationist believing that the gifts were only for the prophets…I had no clue what I was missing out on. I know God is doing something big in me by showing me these testimonies and I am so excited to see the change happen. Since watching I have prayed for deliverance for my husband, a few hours later I’m cleaning up puke. I don’t expect anything to happen but I hoped it would…if that makes sense? Thank you Stacey for this opportunity to learn from all of your incredible guests. What a blessing this has been for me and my family over the last week alone! Praying blessings over you Stacey and your family.

Greetings sweet sister. I am an old southern lady with white hair and even an even whiter complexion. I mentioned that because these days people spew stereotypes and just for your information I don’t subscribe. In Christ, there is neither Greek nor Jew nor white nor black. I listen to you and you are among the most gifted Speakers, not only because of your intelligence and excellent command of your language, but because of the depth of your spiritual insight and understanding and love of our savior. You couldn’t hide that you belong to Jesus and you are a light shining in the darkness, even if you tried., my dear. You’re young and likely you have miles ahead of you in a time that is precarious. Please, remember that you don’t have to walk this alone that you are truly gifted, beautiful, wonderful woman and let nothing discourage you from calling on all the gifts that our father has given to you in Christ Jesus our Lord thank you for sharing yourself with us. ;ll be Looking for you on the podcast. God bless you my sister.

We've been so prospered in America that it has weakened our embrace of the need to confront darkness.

I’ve had supernatural things happen to me including seeing Gods word come to life! I’m so encouraged when I hear other people who have had a similar experience. The Word started coming off the page like it was magnified and started to spin like a tornado and became fire. And the Words were in the fire and came out of the fire. There are so few people that I can tell this to. Thank you for your ministry.

Those that come to God must first believe that He is and a rewarder of those who seek Him and that it is Impossible to please God without faith .

What a powerful testimony packed with an explanation of who our enemy is and how to fight him off - stay in the Word because it’s a sword. Thank you both. By the way, Stacey, you’re a great interviewer - you don’t interrupt, you give a re-cap, and ask pertinent questions. I especially like the way you look at the testimony from a skeptic’s point of view
