Thanks for showing these great old movies!

Always a good movie to rewatch every now and then. I think that it was pretty-well done for the time that it was produced in, no one really knew what to expect in the future so different imaginations came up with different outcomes .. it's almost relaxing to journey back in time and let one's imagination follow along with the explorers and their journey as they search for a better world. Thank you for sharing this movie!

I was hoping for monsters. I didn't realize the scariest part of the movie would be the pseudo-science. Ah well, so it goes. I wish the Cyclotram was designed by Gerry Anderson so it would look more like the way cooler Thunderbird Mole.

I love the way these old movies, with obviously limited budgets, meld actor's speeches with stock footage of places like the United Nations or other like-minded world bodies. This movie did it very well, other movies not so well. At least here they kept the black and white tones similar. Thanks for posting Lloyd, it's a movie I've probably seen but it's not very familiar to me. I did enjoy it!

Robert L. Lippert, like many other producers of his time, brought out films that were either boring with a capital "B" or captivating with a capital "C". UNKOWN WORLD, which is his 26th of 51 films was, without any doubt... the latter.

16:11 Just follow the tire tracks. I hope they aren't going to use that tiny drill to make a hole for that very large machine.

Basically, it’s an Atomic Age updating of the Jules Verne novel “Journey To The Center Of The Earth.”

I enjoyed this movie I know some compared it to Journey to the Center of the Earth; for me, it had that Fantastic Voyage feel with ship and crew. I especially like the concept of a gigantic waterfall composed of all the world's rivers.
(This movie was remade as The Core, starring Hilary Swank (LOL).)
I like to see it colorized.

This "Historical Film" is the Prequel - it shows the rationalizations that lead to the development of The Morlock Culture shown in the sequel Film, "The Time Machine" 😁😅😂🤣🤣🤣
