IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS CAR, JUST GET IT

I got this car about two years ago and I love it so much. It makes me smile every time I drive. I fit comfortably as a 6’2 and can carry 4 people comfortably, 5 if the last person is small enough.

Very practical and you can use a lot of its power even in daily commute. I’ve tried convincing people around me but haven’t managed to convince anyone yet so PLEASE TRUST ME AND GET THIS CAR

In april '24 I looked for one of those cars. One day i met guy, selling gray AT full stock swift for a very reasonable price for its mileage and condition. He looked bit sad and said that he was selling it because he needed money to build a house. I fell in love with the car after short test drive. We agreed on the final price and I went home to cash the money. An hour later I received a message on my phone telling: "car is no longer for sale. changed my mind". Next day I ordered blue MT from Japan in perfect condition with 50k km mileage for $14200. Now I fully understand why he changed his mind.

I rented these when I was in New Zealand. Fun little car especially in the mountains. As an American I would love to have one of these in the states.

The best upgrade the ZC33S can receive is an LSD, then an upgraded engine mount and 20/25mm lowering springs and maybe aluminum gear lever bushings to improve shift feel and precision. After that a Stage1 tune to about 170hp. And there you have it, an old school hot-hatch without going bankrupt.

Test drove one in 2018 when they first came out and immediately bought one, manual transmission of course. Everything you said is true. A fantastic, fun drive on twisty back roads! Still loving it now. I have changed the wheels out to allow the use of higher profile tyres. Now 205/55 R15 instead of the stock 195/45 R17 resulting in no change to gearing. Now has a much quieter more comfortable ride with no obvious loss of steering precision.

I honestly don’t find the infotainment system has any issues, and on the other hand I appreciate how intuitive and simple it is. Just 4 boxes with the day to day things you need there, and no further annoying notifications and alerts such as asking you to take a brake after a long drive.
If you want a car and not something with too many smart features, Suzuki is the answer.

It's a brilliant little car, I can't believe how much I love it already, only had it 3 days, but reviews like yours helped me pull the trigger.

I bought this one 2 years ago. The reason was, they stopped producing the Sport version (so there won't be any more chance to get it) and it was the only affordable sports car on the globe. Yes, you can buy a used Golf GTI for the money or Polo GTI or sometrhing, but there were so many issues with modern gdi cars - exept with Suzuki. I just couldn't find a flaw concerning this car, anywhere on internet. Other thing is the cost of having a Sport (140 PS) vs. GTI with it's 200 or 250 PS. While the GTI is a money pit (insurance, registration, MPG economy) the Sport costs are allmost like for a normal budget car. I have seen so much of GTIs bought and sold and rarely kept, cause it's an expensive car to have. I didn't want just to try the car, I wanted to own it, for long time, so I can connect with it ant it can become a part of my identity.
I was avare of compromises: cheap materials for interior, not so many HP, not so great appearance...
But in two years I just fell in love with it. It looks great! Not an other noisy GTI, it's an anti GTI:). It handles fatasticly, light, nimble, good brakes, good exeleration. The fact it's so light, can't be replaced by anything! It's simply great. The wole car is balanced and coherend. By time you see it's not a result of an instant idea to make a sport version, but a result of engineers who know very vell what they are doing. Also the "cheap" interior in fact look so great, so sporty, reminding in many ways on old cars - a kind of retro. And "cheap" or not, there aren't any crickets to be heard while driving (having 52.000 km). The suspension is quiet, and comfortable on the bumps but firm on curves. Also the exterior is with few changes made vs. a normal Swift, looking so much better. The whole car is when you connect it's allover behavior with it's presence a great example of Japan engineering at it's best practice.
So, I really love this car every day more and more.

It's a shame that manufacturers have forgotten that there are people out there who enjoy driving a manual car. A hot hatch from any manufacturer should have a manual option available off the showroom floor or at least place a special order for one.
