Granted im nowhere near this talanted with leather, but the confidence he has when he rips apart a several thousand dollar handbag is unreal. I'd be scared to death to mess it up
What some people don’t realize is while you are obviously a skilled/experienced cobbler that is dedicated to doing great repair work, you have taken on new video making experiences which adds a whole new “ball game" to your work. Now you are a cobbler, video producer and educator. In my mine, that changes your profession three fold. I think your doing a great job, looks like your learning how to improve all three skills with each video. I will certainly consider contacting you when I need your services.
Ended up here by accident, and couldn't shut it off. Here's a compliment...No one gets 53 minutes of my day like that!! Props to loving your craft and being so damn good at it.
Far too often in my job, I speak with people that blame the equipment and fail to accept personal responsibility when things do not go as planned. It is refreshing to see a professional with true skill in his art admit his error. The fact that you stopped and redid your own work to check for errors shows your character. Thanks.
It was an absolute privilege to watch you work sir. You are a true master of your trade and it's mesmerizing to watch you apply your skills. Thank you for sharing.
Steve, no harm, no foul. I think that you did an incredible job on the bag... and even found the cause of the zipper error and fixed it. My best friend's father was an upholsterer, and we'd occasionally hang out at his shop and watch him work. He'd make the occasional mistake as well, but would straighten things out for a nice finished product. Everybody has those moments, and I think you handled it very nicely. There's a reason that you won those awards, and IMO, you earned them! Congratulations!
