Maybe we should start changing attitudes by stop calling two people in love a "dating scandal."

If you become a Korean pop idol, you don't own your life anymore. Your fans literally own you.

I still can't get over a "dating scandal" in Korea isn't cheating on your partner or abusing them. It's just them dating someone! No wonder so many are still single, seriously though there should be some sort of educational program almost like how they teach safe sex in schools educating children on the perils of worshipping celebrities like this on social media.

Because of the toxic culture a lot of these celebrities are dating and living their lives privately. There are a lot of things we will never know. And that’s ok. It’s none of our business.

It would be interesting to see if the majority of fans who cause problems for celebrities are girls. My personal opinion is that it is mostly young girls. They have no problem shipping idols with other same sex idols in the same group, they create fan accounts of their favorite ships, adore seeing 2 guys together or 2 girls. They seem to truly believe their own imaginations but if it was found out that these same loved idols dated someone of the opposite sex these crazy fans would do everything they can to ruin these idol’s careers. Especially the 4th and 5th generation idols. It’s insane, but what’s more insane is the industry let these “fans” have that much power.

The industry needs to protect their artists not the fans.

Crazy fans are disgusting. demanding someone be fired because they got married! that's insane! Let me be very very clear to the crazy fans.. even if these idols stay single they will never choose you! stop being entitled and disgusting, your delusions are not reality.. the world does not revolve around your parasocial delusions - you have no say and should never have a say in private aspects of these idols lives. Buying someone's music and merch does not mean they owe you anything and it does not mean that you own them either. I deeply hate toxic fans.

When you focus on yourself and not willing to compromise on old habits and addictions like gaming and drinking. Then you will never find a good partner in life. And I stress the word Partner.

I actually think it stems from Korean historic reasons. South Korea is not even a century old, it’s been around for 76 years which is about 3 generations. So much happened in such a short time which means lots of pressure on the first two generations to rebuild their economy and infrastructure and businesses. This caused a shift in the emotional instability for the second and third generations greatly. People don’t want to marry because they are financially able now and they are dealing with the trauma from such quick monetary succession of their country. I’m sure many of them did not have a happy house hold from this unique societal pressure.

I also think the problem is with the fans and agencies. Very obsessive. They make them choose between their work and their relationship...which is ridiculous. Instead we should be happy for them. They are people from whom we take their chance away from a lasting relationship and even if they are comfortable being alone, they may be happier with someone. What a controversy...their happiness (carrier and fans) make them potentially unhappy. Two edged sword. ⚔️ We don't give them a choice where everyone wins, they have to pick the less painful one.

So basically they have to make sure that their fans don’t get upset 😮

Seems like the male actors are immature and have very high expectations for women

@Karen-b1z7l 1 year ago

They have to decide what is more important I suppose! Although life goes by so quickly let’s hope they don’t regret their decisions. Sad that people cant live their own lives!!

Sometimes it's impossible NOT to judge a whole society....
O know I know different cultures
But in my humble opinion, from the perspective of my culture, this one is a very very sick one
And what's more important, they don't seem to be happy with it either ...

@suehuang3705 8 months ago

I wish they find the right one asap ❤

@kellyg4543 1 year ago

This is only Asian culture , westerners can date and get married yet still have their careers. It’s very toxic hopefully at some point it will change
