Anna must have been pissed she wasn't paying attention to the stock market when she was 7...
Amazing movie, I loved it.

I think the seizures/tremors and nosebleeds are a side effect of being in the wrong time, which would explain why Ana has such bad tremors.

Dylan O'Brien has been quiet and he seems to pick his missions but when he picks he PICKS - this movie was amazing ❤

I felt like the seizures happened if you weren’t in your OG time

The mental gymnastics it must have taken to keep all the timelines and connections together. Kudos to the writers 💜

"Found Herd" is also a play on the place that they "found her"

24:10 the Hand gesture is a conflict shock. The thing is Celeste always knew about the oddities of the time line but never could find the answer. One of the reasons she ends up hating her daughter is because how much she resembles the woman she attacked, that oddity was diving her crazy for a long time because no one will ever belive her.

8/10 for me. The curiosity keeps your eyes on the screen throughout the movie. The ending was hard to like but, as you said it was impossible to have a happy ending according to the story.

Thankfully, I didn't have the plot ruined for me by figuring it out a head of time. My dumb ass was still trying to understand during the last 15 minutes.🤣

I realized early that it had something to do with different timelines because everyone in town was looking for Anna. Yet, Paris and his girlfriend never spoke of a missing girl or the need to help in the search - even though they were a part of that lake community. It did keep me interested and intrigued, it was a good movie.

He is such an underrated actor.

The necklace looked like the aerial view of the lake

I think he would’ve been in prison if he had not died. He had Anna’s boat and blood on him. There is no way he would be able to explain that. I liked the ending.

I am still thinking about this movie months after watching it. Truly fantastic film, I got goosebumps when Ellie realized she was talking to her own mom in the past.

And Dylan O’Brien… ugh, such a good performance. Love seeing him on screen.

Honestly in a weird way the whole time travelling and seizures is uncanny to me. I developed seizures after a TBI(traumatic brain injury) and didn’t know I had them until they got so bad I could have died, all I thought I had were headaches, because seizures often give you memory loss. After 3-4 years of having increasing worse seizures I finally got put on anticonvulsants and it was like I walked through a portal and was 3 ish years in the future because the last thing I can remember is a month after my 21 birthday then hazy blips until boom I’m almost 24 and have no idea what happened the last 3 years. So seizures and time travel, along with disorientation and knowing something is wrong but not sure exactly what is, do in a way happen together in a weird less interesting manner lol don’t know if that was an intentional coincidence but I think it’s neat that my experience with time and seizures weirdly reminds me of the movie, heck I’ve even worked on two projects inspired by that experience in the form of horror, thriller, fantasy writing, although I still deal with the seizures and my focus is on treating those before any major projects, and there’s some intriguing similarities. In a silly side note ironically rain (particularly thunderstorms) are often a trigger of mine lol, so perhaps if I’m in the wrong time the portal effecting me is one that has to be under water lol.

this movie reminds me to always give a movie a chance even when it’s a slow burn cause though I enjoyed it, it’s more of a movie I appreciate in hindsight and won’t forget for a while

Well that's one way to resolve the Grandfather Paradox, turn it into the Grandmother Paradox.

Paris would have been charged for Anna’s disappearance if he had stayed. But also, the emotional weight and sense of trauma and the need to accept reality would have been undermined by a ride off into the sunset. The greater theme is that love and connection can extend across time even though you can’t materially change things. Ellie forever changed her and her mom’s life by obtaining the information that could put their souls at ease. This movie is so powerful in its illustration of what matters most in life.

Perhaps Anna did mention that she was from the future when she recovered in 1952 but people would have told her she was hallucinating and perhaps crazy (knowing the time). So she was smart enough to keep quiet, fit into the life she now had, and make the best of her new life (which she did). As for the times you get to through the portals, remember that Anna said she found some moss that has been extinct for a long time. Not sure it was dinosaur times (that part of Texas was under the great inland sea at that time). With the wolves, perhaps during the Ice Age when they roamed the area.
