Record Shops in Tokyo | Japanese Ambient & Hip Hop Cassettes

In today's vlog I visited two record shops to dig for cassette tapes. Both are located in Tokyo, Kankyo Records and Manhattan Records.
Record shops in Japan are often very niche, focusing on specific genres. This makes digging very diverse, with places that go deep on a genre.
Ambient music brought me to Kankyo Records where I met with their team to talk about the ambient scene in Japan. Great shop with a really cool selection of products.
Manhattan Records serves up all things hip hop, with beat tapes, cassettes, and vinyl all available. I happened to link with a US producer, yo cisco kidd, where we connected about his process and cassette culture.
