So basically, Vergil came to Fortuna, checked the place out, envisioned himself doing exactly what Dante’s gonna do but better, got a girl pregnant, then bailed so he could go unearth some tower at Dante’s doorstep and brag about it. Awesome

Weird to think Vergil plowed someone right before this scene.

I always assumed that Vergil's shadow was shaped as his devil form, but now that I look back at it, it's actually shaped like Nero's blue spectral Devil, which is a good foreshadowing (see what I did there?) to nowaday's situation of the series.
