5:25...I like Schlechers probing moves with this queen here. Although I doubt he is winning, his king and pawns are safe enough for him to do this...at leisure maybe ? Just to see if Lasker makes a weakness for himself.
Great game...I really enjoyed that, Excellent probing by Schlechter, Lasker defended really well. It looked like Lasker had survived and was maybe winning, but Schlechters " counterplay" won the day.
7:49 Wow, this is an amazing positional battle, hardly any tactics at all. I get the impression they are both playing superbly at this point....positionally speaking . Is there a nasty tactic coming up to " spoil" it all lol ?
Some nice positional manoevering to come it seems :) I wonder if that this point 4:03...ne3 was a possible alternative move for Schlechter ? looking at a possible nf5..Lasker might play g6 to prevent that.but then qc3 for Schlechter does eye those weak dark squares a bit ?! if he gets to play it.
Wide open board gives both players a chance
