Royalty is a strange lot under any conditions

What a stupid way to look at this woman. 🙄
She ate like it was a race, because she HATED small talk.  All those eating with her were leeches trying to get something from her.  Less talk equaled less headache for her.  She banned fire in her castle because a castle is basically a massive apartment building with HUNDREDS sleeping under one roof (herself and sometimes her extended family included).  Once one apartment catches on fire, they ALL burn.  The only truly weird thing about this pragmatic woman, was the way she never could stop mourning her husband.  She took grieving to a whole other level.  Even that is understandable though.  Ruling a country is an ENORMOUS task to put on one tiny woman.  It's an impossible job for one person.  With her husband by her side, it felt lighter, almost manageable.  Once he died, the enormity of her position as sole ruler crushed her.  She had nobody she could fully trust to help her except him.  She didn't mourn the "man", she mourned the mental relief from too big of a job that man gave her.  That's why she disappeared mostly after he died.  The job was too much, so she gave up, and allowed others to step in.  
Her children were largely raised by others due to how busy she was.  The coldness you see towards them from her was not the same as a mother who had raised her own children.  They were largely strangers to her.  We mold our children into human beings we can tolerate and relate to.  She never had that opportunity. She loved them, but her role as their mother was not normal, because she did not have a normal job.  It was more like when we see our nephews and nieces on occasion.  Given her position on this crazy planet, I'd say she was an appropriate amount of "weird".
