In 1987, in Nancy, Jacques-Michel disappeared after parking his car. Three days later, he woke up in Paris with no memory of his identity. Committed to a psychiatric hospital under the name “Monsieur X,” he recognized neither his wife nor his children: thirty years of his life had vanished. He then had to rebuild everything: his marriage, his relationship with his children, his career as an architect.
Years later, it was discovered that he had been attacked and left for dead. Suffering from traumatic amnesia, an extremely rare condition, he lives without any personal memories from before 1987 and has had to recreate his identity from scratch.
