Before anyone post to comment about her being mean or her criticizing The show too much, let me explain something to The haters.

While anybody can enjoy Rwby and have fun with it. I believe that it’s always up to the viewer to decide whether the bad of the series outweighs the good. And while she she often focuses on the positive sides of an episode,  she simply can’t ignore what doesn’t work. The reason why it’s important to acknowledge what doesn’t work about your favorite series, it’s because once you understand the highs of the series, we can see the potential the low could’ve Had. We criticize the series we love, BECAUSE We love it. Do you wanna see it do better and improve, not just looking for plot holes in the stuff to complain about.

So yeah. @TheJugementleCritter it’s not heating on the show just hate on the show.

”Do not fall”

Guys, I figured out how to kill Salem

“I guess you just have to... get creative?...  unlike our writers?”

I genuinely feel bad for critter cuz you can feel her optimism in the other reviews leading up tothis slowly drain until this episode killed it.

I completely forgot that atlas has a huntsman academy
They barely show up even when their own city is under attack

Looking closer at the giant gun: those are his pistols, basically duct taped onto a larger gun

"It's not canon if it's not in the show" THANK YOU. Super tired to explain that to people, if your media needs side products (books/mangas etc) to be complete that means you should ask yourself the good questions about any writing choices....

There's a point where it tips
There's a point where it breaks
There's a point where it bends
And a point we just can't take anymore!

Vol 2 opening lyrics seem very fitting.

The biggest conflict with this episode- THE PLATFORMS DON'T HAVE RAILING.
OSHA exists for a reason and they're transporting people in a place where you're not supposed to fall what else is supposed to be a safety precaution.

I'm fairly certain quite a few people got a bingo this volume

Hbomb put it best. The show always threatens to be amazing, only to drop the ball. Every. Single. Time.

I still won't buy Emerald's redemption until she sees Cinder again

Penny IS the most disappointed part. Like what,it's like they completely forgot about her main personality traits! She's curious, she's hyperactive,do something like Rapunzel going out for the first time in Tangled!! THAT'S PENNY!!!!

One problem I have was Ruby's attitude when asking Ambro to make Penny's body. It's like she knew everything will be okay. Ambro even said this situation was new. There was no hesitation on her part. I would have been okay if Ruby and Penny had a small talk about this and Ruby be like: This is a risk (what ruby "learned" from the previous episode) we'll have to take.

Edit: also holy fuck I forgot about the relic attracting the Grimm. Do they team even care about the lamp relic?

2nd edit: Wait since Neo has a relic, wouldn't she get attacked by the Grimm?

Still can’t get over how the evil general villain forgot to bring his army to his evil plan lmao

My fav part was critter calling the SDC the bullshit factory.

Glenda called him headstrong. Now we know that it was his semblance. making her saying what she said super stupid.

I totally agree that this episode’s main problem was its pacing. Each of these plot points could have been really interesting, but they rushed through them and then spent WAY too long standing and talking to Ambrosious. This episode’s plot could have really benefited if it were spread out across two or three rather than just crammed all into one.

Ironwood's new weapon looks like a thing power rangers make when they combine their weapons. You can see his regular pistols are acting as the handles

We spent the whole of Volume 7 setting up Salem’s arrival, only eliminate her halfway through Volume 8 then make Ironwood the villain, THEN eliminate Ironwood the very next episode to set up Cinder as the finale boss fight AGAIN?!

Sooo are Maria and Pietro just floating in space alone somewhere???? How are they going to get down let alone get to the portals? Lmao
