1. The ADAS isn't too bad now - but it was horrible. The LCC actually does a fantastic job keeping in the middle of the road - and it's as good as an autopilot in most cases, which is good, because you're going to need to turn it on to do anything like access the infotainment system... It will self-drive in a straight line ( or marked curves, but not corners ) for 30 seconds without input, which is about how long it takes to turn the demister on, set it for heat, turn off exterior venting, set both sides to the same temp, select the upper vents and turn the fan on high when the front window starts to fog up. But you don't ever lose your phone screen when switching - there's an icon to switch back.
2. Android Auto / Carplay - Actually, the Android Auto dongle works pretty well - better than most integrated versions - and yeah, you can switch between it and the infotainment system very easily but sometimes it crashes and you have to shut it down and restart - though that's an AA problem and when it happens, at least you can shut down and restart - it takes just a few presses... The only real issue about this is the dongle, well, dongles... It would be nice if there was a space just for it. Also you can bypass the restriction on playing movies and just install full android if you like... Which works well.
3. Charging speed. Most people I know charge at home - yeah - because Australia doesn't really have charging stations - and most are slower than home... Really... It's that bad - So we just get the REEV model - 1000km+ without refuelling or charging and then you just add gas and continue... It's the ultimate hybrid and C10 is the first one there - it's genuinely good.
4. Most of us use out phones - that's been since the start. We just walk up, open the door, the boot or whatever else we want. We just sit and use the pin. It usually comes up once you press the brake - or you can fast-start in seconds if you set it to... But most just leave that normal. The card is something you keep in your wallet for when there's a problem... You can also remotely unlock it so someone else can drive it ( and start it ). And yeah, you can even leave the cameras running while you step out by setting camp mode before you leave. It did bother us all for a few days until we realized phones were better than keys - and you never ever leave your phone behind and the car never lets you leave it there either. But they have promised FOBs will be sent out. Well, still waiting - estimated December.
5. Actually there are physical buttons, and you can get climate physical buttons if you want - they cost about $300... But even the stock car has a wing-mirror adjustment button on the wheel - that's default. You can also change the modes and turn off the ADAS and other things via the wheel buttons - though more general purpose buttons would be nice although no car has those. We at least get two. The quick change on the climate screen so that you return to the home screen too quickly ? Absolutely true... That's a big pain...
6. Yeah, the brakes are pretty sensitive... Generally that's a good thing - But they do take getting used to and while you transition you're going to brake-check a few people. But if you need them? THey are good.
7. Not really. It feels like the numbers say, but then Leapmotor updated the OTA and screwed this up - most C10s lost a LOT of power because Leap screwed up their battery warranty - it's not just leading - it's best of class. 80% at 8 years is about the best in the world and beats 70% at 12 years. But.... It's too close, so cool morning? They dial the power down. Hot day? Dial the power down. Anything inbetween? They dial the power down. I've measured over 200kW from this car before - 250HP - and now it struggles to get half that... Ever since the OTA updates came through.
It does have genuine problems, but the ones you've mentioned are mostly addressed. Well, 7 is the biggest now. Being a little lethargic is probably the worst you can say about it,
