In this video, I take the Tesla Model 3 Standard 2026 and Tesla Model 3 Premium Long Range RWD 2026 on the same route, on the same day, to find out which one actually drives better.

We compare both cars in city driving, highway driving, on bumps and different road surfaces, looking closely at the differences in ride comfort, suspension, steering, acceleration, handling, road noise and energy consumption.

The Tesla Model 3 Standard uses a 60 kWh usable LFP battery and produces 279 hp, while the Premium Long Range RWD has a 79 kWh usable battery, 315 hp and up to 750 km WLTP range. Both cars are rear-wheel drive, but they use different battery technologies and have important differences that can affect the driving experience.

Tesla Model 3 Standard 2026

β€’ 279 hp
β€’ 60 kWh usable LFP battery
β€’ 534 km WLTP range
β€’ 0–100 km/h: 6.2 seconds
β€’ Rear-wheel drive
β€’ Up to 175 kW DC charging
β€’ 1,822 kg

Tesla Model 3 Premium Long Range RWD 2026

β€’ 315 hp
β€’ 79 kWh usable LG 5M battery
β€’ Up to 750 km WLTP range
β€’ 0–100 km/h: 5.2 seconds
β€’ Rear-wheel drive
β€’ Up to 250 kW DC charging
β€’ 1,847 kg

But the biggest question is: does the Premium actually feel better to drive?

I also explain which Model 3 makes more sense depending on how you use your car. If you mainly drive in the city, the Standard can offer an excellent price-to-performance ratio. If you regularly drive long distances and need more range, the Premium Long Range RWD becomes much more interesting.

Watch until the end to see which Tesla Model 3 I would choose for different types of drivers.

Which one would you choose β€” Standard or Premium? Let me know in the comments!
