A new round in the global circus, but today's main story is from Egypt.
Strikes began inside Minya Prison demanding improved detention conditions, then spread to other locations. Over time, the demands escalated from exercise, family visits, and medical care to the application of the law and the release of detainees.
While the new Criminal Procedures Law was scheduled to take effect on October 1, 2026, and reduce pretrial detention periods, the House of Representatives postponed its implementation for a full year until October 1, 2027. With this postponement, we received information about a new escalation inside Minya Prison.
Before delving into Egypt, we'll review the latest developments regarding the Flydubai plane, the anticipation of the Iranian response to the American one, the story of the Fairford base in Britain, arms arrangements in Iraq after the withdrawal of American forces, developments in Yemen, Gaza, and Al-Aqsa, the secret meeting between the Syrian government and Hezbollah, the restructuring of the US military, and reports from Russia and South Africa.
