Wow Medecine is a very  noble profession indeed.
I think every Ghanaian household needs to have a sample of the human skeleton in their rooms offices and Family compounds.

Fascinating - thank you.
Just experienced a femoral hernia emergency, where the opening expanded and the small bowel became twisted. Surgery closed the hole and 4" of black (dead) bowel was removed, with the 2 sides sealed back together. Taking things easy and eating less - and learning about this! you know what's said about hindsight...me, I'd like hindsight while its still foresight!!!

Suggestion: NEVER SUPPRESS A SNEEZE OR COUGH. Healing up well after a procedure a couple of weeks ago.

Dear sir! ! You are the one of the best teacher in the world! !

Thanks for the really clear explanation. I had no idea about hernias in this location.  I just had surgery to repair one of these. I had a few days of pain, pressure and a sensation of fluid in the pubic and lower pelvic area beforehand. Thought it was a sore lymph node or something. Was being treated by GP for possible infection.  No bulge at that stage  but when it popped out, I went straight to emergency.  They went in through an old caesarean scar and repaired it. Making uneventful recovery now.

THANK YOU FOR INFORMATION!

I will cry. This was amazing. Thank you.

You sir are outstanding

Brilliant explanation,  thank you for making it so clear and easy to understand.

I have had this lump in that exact area for a while and after months of no answers I think I should see a hernia specialist. Thanks for the video.

It's not so much a weakness that you can strengthen with targeted exercise, but a mismanagement of gut pressure. If you're not training 360° expansion in the abdomen on inhalation, yes, you're going to herniate. It's about load-share, not so much "weakness."

Great explanation of hernia with a model. No sketches and graphics can do what you did with a model of human body.

Video's like this never cease  to fascinate me.

Thank you for videos that a layman like myself can follow and understand!

Thank You for that great explanation Dr. Very very informative and it will not be a surprise if some day something strange appeared down there.

This is a very informative video. Two years ago I slipped on the ice as I was getting out of the company pickup in the company parking lot and went down between the door and the pickup and hit my head on the ice and when I regained  my senses my left leg was pointing in one direction and my body in another direction. I went to Dr. and had ultrasound examination and  found out I had a 2 1/2 " horizontal Inguinal hernia in my core area. When surgery was done, they said the membrane was torn, muscle and nerve damage, leaving me with a 6" incision. When I had the ultrasound prior to surgery, I had mentioned about the sore area in my inner left thigh at my crotch. After surgery I was still in pain. Went back to Dr. and had another ultrasound examination on my left inner thigh and found out that there is a 2" hernia at my femoral nerve. Only able to ride in a vehicle for fifteen minutes, hardly able to walk up or down stairs, not able to lift my left leg to take a proper step and if I do I will fall down. So hard to roll over in bed. I'm still waiting for surgery for the femoral hernia damage, which the surgeon told me would be exploratory surgery. The femoral hernia is exactly where you have shown but is on the left side. I do get relief when I stand up by pushing on the hernia with my hand. There hasn't even been a date set for surgery. This injury happened 2 years ago. Any tips on how I can get some results to have much needed surgery done?

thank you so much, kind sir😁. i always had difficulty understanding these notions with the facias until now

Best explanation I have seen. Thank you!!!
