WE ACTUALLY MADE IT TO 100K!! Thanks for the support everyone!!

I can just picture Gura sending Ina that "I lived Bitch" meme right after she got 3rd

the most impressive thing is that Gura wasn't using the 'meta' Waluigi on wiggler. you notice that a LOT of the others were, but she used the character and kart she liked and still managed to beat the odds. truly, truly motivated

In the immortal words of Calliope Mori, “I’m Gawr Gura and I’m f*cling good at video games!”

1:05
"Just Gonna have fun"
That's the exact same words professionals say when they are about to wreck a competition

"GUYS, I AM A REAL GAMER! I promise!" -Gura, when everyone called her a liar for how maneater went down

you’d think people would learn not to underestimate her after she flexed her godlike rhythm gamer skills in muse dash

It was like an underdog run. She did so well and holy crap I was jumping in my seat the whole time hahahaha

Never thought I’d hear a megalo strike back remix as the bgm for anything ever again. Brings back memories…

3:20 the moment she said her friends names one by one makes me prouder to be her fan

The added F1 commentary is master class.

1:47 that was sick... It's a risky move but as a gamer, we all can agree that was facking cool and amazing

When you are under pressure only two options are available, to fight back with all your strength, or to accept defeat and do nothing
And Gura is the kind that fights back

Aqua, who was seen as a heavy favorite pre-tournament and was the other scary monster aside from Suisei, basically got no practice in before and was really out of form, which was the opening Gura and the others needed to place. With that being said though, Gura raced really well all tournament and placed above Towa in winner’s. Even had Aqua been in form Gura had a good chance of placing top 3 anyways.

The strongest hololive non-JP Mario kart player

Her genuine happiness when she said "holy shit i did it, do you see this?" Still gives me goosebumps to this day, well done Gura you improved a lot and where able to compete with the best

“It’s not often when you get to see a racer that works their ride better than their own two feet but when you do, you can feel a powerful aura coming off of their car.” -Takeshi Nakazato from Initial D (I think). Another funny thing is that in real life, group B was a really challenging race where there weren’t much restrictions on cars, so it was way too dangerous and canceled after a few years.

edit: Today I ended up in an online race in a video game I had basically no chance of winning, all my opponents were in special racing cars and I just had my old beat up Toyota Celica. I was about to lose when it started raining mid race and the other cars went into the pits to change to rain tires, while I just blew past them with my treaded street tires. Eventually the fastest one of them caught up to me and passed me easily. In my head, Gura’s mariokart race (this video) came up in my head along with a scene from Initial D. I kept on driving faster in the rain even though I could barely see the road. In a sharp hairpin turn, the other car crashed into a barrier on the side of the road and was disqualified. Therefore I won. I’m still really happy about that.

Gura finally showed us her MOTIVATION.
