Honestly never realized "glad you came" had a double meaning.

I'm embarrassed to say this but when i was younger, i liked the "like a g6 song" but my little kid brain couldn't comprehend the lyrics so i thought they were saying "like a cheese stick"

"I'ts that whole swedish house mafia thing"

They were members of Swedish house mafia.

My categories are "hated it" "didn't know it existed" or "still listen to it today"

Avril lavigne's hello kitty was for her japanese fans. She tried to make it like jpop and she went to a language specialist for the japanese parts. Everyone called her a racist while the people in japan loved it

Edit: I said this because it would probably be brought up... Nothing against Joel.

Plot twist: Joel actually forgot all the songs he put in the "Never heard" category but his memory is so bad he can't remember them.

Still waiting for the day he starts his intros at the start-

I Knew You Were Trouble was never a forgettable song of Taylor's, just look for "Forever and Always" or "Back to December" and then we're talking. Also, seeing Joel forget the songs that shaped my adolescence is hurtful lmao

It feels like the 2010's was a completely different era, so many songs I forgot about in this list

Joel: probably the best song of Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez: the only song I regret singing

A lot of these fall into the genre I'll call "retail music"- I have DESPERATELY tried to forget them because I heard them on an infinite damn loop while working at a mall. I'm glad Lost Boy was on here though- despite hearing it too much it's really pretty

Joel: yodels seemlessly
Me: “weird flex, but ok...”

Joel when “Glad You Came” popped up: “Worst pun in a song title ever”
Also Joel when the chorus ended: “I hOpE tHeY dOn’T mEaN aNyThInG dIrTy”

5:14 how could anyone forget that song since it was used in every try not to laugh challenge as a meme "lying on the cold hard ground (screaming goat) (screaming goat) trouble trouble trouble trouble" got kinda old for me
