He said that an American man (I assume now that was Ryan Wyatt) had discovered the location of Noah’s Ark on a mountain in Turkey and talked about all the proof and evidence he had found.
The preacher said that they would excavate the Ark, but the Turkish government had blocked anyone from traveling to the site and it was because Muslims don’t believe in Noah’s Ark and they know that excavating the site would prove their religion wrong and Christianity right. So, in order to stop that from happening, the Turkish government forbade Christians from going to that mountain anymore.
I remember my parents being so angry over that. They thought we should start a war with Turkey over it.
It wasn’t until I got older and got away from my small evangelical conservative corner of the world that I realized how ridiculous the whole thing the preacher said was.
My mother is still convinced that Muslims don’t believe in the Noah’s Ark story and that’s why the Ark hasn’t been excavated.
"I think it's a rock sir."
"Well, we'll see what the lab has to say about that!"
Also, he was somehow detecting titanium? Famously non-magnetic and non-existing as a pure substance titanium? From a bronze age boat? Sure, why not.
