Hong Kong reverted  from British to chinese rule in 1997. I knew this depression would happen. Hong Kong once was the  economic capital of Asia.. It kept its momentum during the first few decades of chinese rule. But today we see what the CCP has  really done to all of china. The bottom has fallen out.

Hong Kong died when the CCP took over a few years ago.  We're just seeing the rigor mortis phase now.  How's Macau doing?  Did they get taken over in the same way?

Say Thanks to China!  If they didn’t interfere with HK, it would still be booming.

Hong Kong is being destroyed by the evil CCP 😡🤬😞

Urban camping has become popular in Hong Kong too

Hong Kong is not completely dead but most young people want to leave since it's being taken over by the CCP and has a flood of mainlanders coming in recently

I was in HK 12 years ago.  It was still bustling, festive even. It's sad to see it this way

The CCP should have just left it to the British and lived off the money that streamed to the main land

I miss 80s/90s Hong Kong

CCP ruined everything since the beginning.

As an Australian...used to ADORE my yearly holiday to Hong Kong, so beautiful, so full of positive people... haven't been in 7yrs now, go  to Thailand or Vietnam instead. People are friendlier, food is better quality, accommodation is cleaner and I don't get my arse drilled out by suspicious customs agents or immigration officials wanting to get a promotion from their bosses at the expense of a simple tourist with a genuine love for that country. Truly miss Hong Kong, my heart really is still there. :/

CCP runs Hong Kong to the hellhole. How sad!

So sad, 15 years ago it was still bustling and alive. Shops everywhere, micro malls packed, open untill 10pm and restaurants all over... You couldn't rent a space in Mong Kok even if you wanted to open a store, now it's all empty shops. They should never have allowed Tao Bao (Chinese Temu), nobody shops in real life anymore.

I noticed many people from Hong Kong relocated to Houston Texas. Especially in the food service sector.

After the 2019 Hong Kong protests the investors knew to get out

It's a crying shame they destroyed Hong Kong as well! 😞

I"ve been to hongkong 2x already, most residents i"ve encountered are rude.

There are no laws that protect animals in China!  Justice for Wang Wang and her three puppies!  🐕💔

CCP has ruined Hong Kong.  Praying for the Liberation of Hong Kong from China.

Under CCP VIRUS COVID CHINA Hong  Kong will never be the same again. When you lose your freedom, then this city is dead.
