Betrayal would imply that there was any loyalty in the first place

Tom TOTALLY got screwed over by being ILLEGALLY poked in the eyes. Such an unreal BS situation

The fans don't care about the fighters so they'll just swallow whatever shite Dana feeds them. Tom would be well within his rights to say fuck the fans.

Cheating is the best base for MMA until these refs decide to actually punish it

Absolutely fucked tom. Cannot imagine the belt being given to the guy that illegally caused the injury. Guys like Gane should be banned from the sport.

Dana White is like that kid from Toy Story who says "I don't want to play with you anymore."

The eye poke is the most effective semi legal (you are allowed at least one per fight) strike in mma. 😂

I think Cereal Gain has the weirdest path to “full” champion I can think of

Nothing but respect for Tom. How can someone recover from this? Imagine he gets cleared, the first fight back... Impossible to not be worried about injuring the eye again.

Let's not forget how traitor bisping turned his back on Tom and played company man. Disgusting

It's disgusting how the fans and UFC treated that guy.

As long as he gets an IMMEDIATE title shot upon return. The online/internet smear campaign is/was disgusting. Luke Thomas the goat.

Cheating and being Jon Jones are the most overpowered MMA bases in history. Totally undefeated.

Something that bothers me about this entire situation and everything that's come of it, is that Tom seems such a decent fella. To invert the irony of the saying... This couldn't (shouldn't ) have happened to a nicer (a down to Earth apparently genuine) guy. Admittedly he's a fellow Brit, but I don't even tend to support fighters simply because they're British.
I didn't like Paddy for the longest time, even though he was also a fellow Liverpool FC supporter.
I fucking hate MMA fans sometimes and that includes the ones in the arenas too, sometimes.

I had my retina detached a little over a year ago when I caught an elbow swipe across the eye.  The eye will never be the same. Nothing but sympathy for Tom.

Jon is proof of Dana White privilege
Tom is proof of Dana White prejudice

I hate the, "Gane was beating Tom so it was gonna be a loss anyway" take because if you only watch the first two rounds of Topura/Gaethje you would think Topuria was about to run away with the fight. No fight is ever over until that final bell rings.

UFC morality: person who got fouled gets dragged by the CEO and forfeits the title, person committing foul gets the belt. Disgusting

The UFC fanbase mobilized valiantly against Aspinall, then embraced the wisdom of Hokit.

Such an unfortunate series of events. Steps in & fights Sergei on like 10 days notice at 295 with a fucked up back, defends the interim belt, actively campaigned to (JUSTIFIABLY) unify the belts vs Jones who shamelessly ducked him. Had to waste tons of time in his prime, then when he does actually gets back in the cage, gets his eyes gouged badly & then gets slandered for faking it despite 4K video evidence & OFFICIAL medical documentation CONFIRMING the damage done to his eyes & yet still doesn't get grace & then forced to vacate because of reaggravating the injury & the man who did the dirty deed, gets the gold. Sick sad world.
