i agree with what you said though.. a bit more history / background / facts about these wonders wouldve been amazing! I feel like I didnt get the full impact of why these places are actually the wonders of the world!
For those that can't be bothered searching up the reasons why they're a wonder:
Machu Picchu is a wonder because it symbolizes the genius of the Incan civilization and you get an idea of how the Inca empire was like even though we can't replicate their accomplishments. And it was also built to serve as a royal retreat, but the real reason is unknown.
Colosseum is a wonder because it represented the Roman Empire's great power and its status as the center of the ancient world. The stadium also symbolized the great engineering of the romans and its enormity and etc.
Taj Mahal is a wonder due to it being considered the greatest architectural achievement in the whole range of Indo-Islamic architecture.
Believe Chris the Redeemer is a wonder of the world due to its name and probably an expression of Jesus Christ and the unsearchable of his Paschal Mystery.
Petra is a wonder because it's one of the world's most famous archaeological sites, where ancient eastern traditions blend with Hellenistic architecture. It is also filled with tombs, monuments, and houses that were carved into the sandstone cliffs. It was also chiseled by hand.
Chichen Itza is a wonder due to it being one of the largest as well as best-preserved archaeological sites in the world. It is also home to ancient Mayan marvels and rich cultural histories.
The Great Wal of China is a wonder due to not only its long history, but its massive size, and its unique architectural style. A lot of manpower was used such as soldiers, prisoners and local people.
