Joe Weller acting like Alex was closed off to god towards the end was insanely ignorant. Alex is more open minded and explored philosophies, religions and possibilities more than anyone at the table

watching the potato smiley attempt to debate an oxford graduate philosopher on very complex abstract concepts is truly something to behold

Alex is the perfect example of atheists knowing more about Christianity than Christians.

i feel joe wants everyone to be more open to his beliefs, but is the least open to others opinions

alex o'connor is such an intellectual juggernaut this truly feels like he's speaking to pre-schoolers, fascinating, but also quite difficult to watch at times

Seeing Theo try to have an intellectual conversation with Alex is truly a delight

I love how Alex played to his audience here. He has hundreds of more compelling, yet complex, arguments than what was discussed in this video - but, wisely, spoke to and engaged them on their level...

His language is also on point. Never says he disagrees - always 'understands' or 'agrees' but adds more context. Incredibly intelligent.

Alex: "Its like asking what's north of the north pole?"
Theo: "The south pole!"

Nothing worse than someone who’s ’born-again’ having an even bigger inflated ego afterwards.

I sometimes use the wafflin pod to dumb me down after watching an Alex o Connor vid so its nice to have the mind numbing effect of Theo baker and the thought provoking effect of Alex all at once

no way he's said he prefers agnostic 1 min in and you've put ATHEIST in all caps hahaha

@BillyNoMates-f3i 1 year ago

This confirmed my opinion that not everyone should have a podcast.

The last 30mins feels like Weller trying to work out and justify out loud his own internal debate with religion while also being unable to understand Alex's responses. Like watching a low intellect therapy session.

I don't ever want to hear the phrase "surrender to god" ever again 😂

Joe is pretty thick isn’t he? Knew he wasn’t the smartest, but that’s another level

@svdw23 1 year ago

No way they got Alex O'Connor 😂 wow

@ivartheboneless5969 1 year ago

You can tell by looking at Joe throughout this podcast, that he feels intellectually intimidated by Alex 😂.

I absolutely love that the first 20 minutes of this have been the boys asking an Oxford-level philosophy and theology graduate to explain particle physics and relativity to them, both topics on which he has no specialised knowledge. Love it, boys. Never change.
