I kept my hand under the ball at setup and always had trouble pulling the ball through the swing. After making everything else smooth, I still couldn't get the release down. Then I tried turning my hand sideways through the backswing, and the first time it felt so natural to just load the sucker at the top and come through behind it.

The explanation about how you should release the ball is by far the most relatable comment and view of release I have heard. Awesome information for a bowler like me who does not have the INTERNET view of a textbook release and as a coach a new way of explaining it to my clients. Thank you for the video.

Did a Lesson with Mark this weekend in Northern California. He helped me work on something I have been struggling with recently. He helped me with timing, which fixed a couple of other things I forgot I needed. I am looking forward to implementing it in league this week. dang, i didnt know i used Doug Kent's system, i just did it cuz theres more oil in the middle and makes my spare ball more predictable most of the time. only a few exceptions like double woods i use my strike line.

Sometimes simple is better. I’ve asked everywhere, google, Reddit, ig comments section. What inside of the bowling ball and how. It didn’t make sense to me how can I cup and uncup my wrist from the inside. And someone finally answered my question

220 hybrid bowler from last question session.

For drifting left, is it the drift on initial approach or the finish position? I tend to drift left about 5-7 but then slide back at my starting board or slightly right of it. I’ve been told by other bowlers conflicting info and whether it is good or bad to slide back to the starting position and should be more left.

Side note average is actually now between 230 and 240, although an 800 and several 700s tend to help with it

As a 2 handed righty what’s the best way to work on my timing? I find myself missing left of target way too often causing a lot of inconsistency no matter how slow I try to approach.

I'm a right handed 1 hand bowler and I'm having consistency issues with my axis rotation. I assume this has everything to do with the speed of my approach and how far my right leg swings after left leg plants. Am I on to something?

:face-blue-smiling:Please offer advice for us ladies. I hook most of my spares, esp on the left. I try to roll down the 7 or 8 board on the fresh. (use the spare ball on a select few shots and hook the rest) Young senior w 160 ave. I try to get my hand under the ball (14 lb, yes I know it's a bit heavy) and use good follow through. Trouble bending bc arthritis (knees) but working on that. speed dom at about 11 mph. any advice appreciated and :hand-pink-waving:PLEASE:hand-pink-waving: don't forget THRE ARE LADIES OUT HERE WHO ARE SERIOUS AND WE GET NO HELP.
