Mario hit down the axe to get rid of bowser but Luigi wasn't on the other side falling into the lava.

Story: mario and luigi were in 8-4 of mario 1, and bowser was defeated, mario pulled thje axe, and then luigi ran. however, mario noticed that luigi was hanging from the edge of the chain, and fell into the lava. mario was depressed and started to mourn. in mario 3, mario was still extremely overwhelmed, and wishing luigi was back... and thats where the horror began...

It seems like the Luigi.EXE story. Luigi was jealous of Mario. Both brothers got into an argument, Mario pushed Luigi over in anger. Luigi fell into the lava. He either died and came back as a gross distorted version of himself, or survived but was severely melted. Luigi then went to kill Mario, believing that his brother pushed him into the lava on purpose. Thus the end scene.

Well judging by image I think I can understand what happened in that scene so mario and Luigi were fighting bowser they won and mario press the lever so the bridge fell and bowser died in the lava unfortunately mario didn't saw Luigi crossing the bridge and so Luigi fell died in the lava so yeah that would explain it

If u payed more attention to the pictures at the end it showed exactly what happened
It was the classic drop Bowser into the lava scene and Luigi was on the bridge at the same time and Mario didn't know so he accidentally dropped his brother in and imma just go ahead and assume that his soul came back as a vengeful spirit/as an exe to get revenge and all the others were merely caught in the cross-fire of the incident or he used their souls to gain more power to be able to torment Mario how he did

An alt ending: mario does NOT subcumb to guilt and decides to fight too late.exe and wins against him, knocking too late.exe out, either mario is freed, but luigi is still dead,OR, if you find a secret 1up,and take the offer 1up mario gives one to too late.exe turning him back (although he is still mad) and they are together again. Mario dialouge:you aren't luigi. even if you were… you aren't anymore.

it's MX!!! 17:05

Actually going through several other descriptions this Luigi is Mr.L but this Luigi  was jealous of Mario getting all the attention and teamed up with Bowser to take down Mario during the battle Mario tried to convince Luigi to come back and save him but it ended with Luigi falling into the lava and now Luigi is basically become a vengeful spirit that is known as Mr.L

22:17 this is a refrence to the sonic.exe pc port...i thiknk

16:04 MY DEDICATED BRO

16:21 You really don't wanna say "oops"

Luigi's not possessed, he's dead and he returned as a vengeful spirit.

This ruined my childhood but it’s okay because I used to play Mario when I was young and it was so fun and also Rest In Peace Mario✝️

Yes, MX you are in the wrong game

This game is based off the “I HATE YOU” mod of super Mario world when Mario and Luigi get done fighting Luigi tried to apologize but Mario uses the cape and kicks Luigi in the lava

I like how Luigi said:”and you,it’s too late to save him!!!”because not many game has the character who know that it’s just a game.

The good ending?? WHAT???
