I really appreciate all the time it takes you to do these deep reviews. There is no one else doing this.

We know that there is a lot of inherant variability between one e-ink screen vs another. It would be interesting to test a second a second unit in these measurements, especially for anything to do with the lighting. Though, it may not be practical.

Really good review. I'm a little disappointed that the Boox series has two almost identical models, but that they are so different. I had decided to choose the white one before, but I think your review has shown that I should go with the black one instead.

Does anyone know about the durability of the different screens?

Wow! Amazing review, it’s great that you did this. On another hand, Boox should be making such large difference that needs such deep inspection just to decide between the white and black versions of a device.

I’m about 30 minutes in, and I have to say this is the best video about an e-reader I’ve seen so far. You really go into detail and explain the points clearly, unlike others that just say whether it’s good or not without much explanation.
I’m new to e-readers and looking to buy my first one, and this has been the most helpful resource for making a decision so far.

I ordered the go 7 black. I need no colors and I don't intend to take notes (I have a ipad mini with pen). Pure reader. But I do need kindle and skoobe support and I'm no good with converting anything to whatever so simple app usage is needed. I think I'll be fine with the go 7 black. 😊 It's my first eink since the paperwhite 2 which died a decade ago.

These reviews have been really useful for me, I want an ereader that I can access my kindle books on however the paperwhite cannot access library books in Ireland which is a dealbreaker for me. I'm also really interested in a device that has kindle/borrowbox/kobo. The black&white Box 7 is a really good contender.

I ended up ordering the black version of the Boox Go 7 and it arrived today. I’ve been using it for a couple of hours reading an e-book through my library (which is what made me decide on the Boox, I don’t want to be locked in with Kindle anymore) and have now noticed quite a lot of smudges and finger prints on the display. A quick google told me that’s due to the glass screen and that a plastic screen wouldn’t have that issue.
Knowing that I should have gone for the white version because this is going to drive me mad 😞

I had a white Leaf with a plastic screen, and over time the screen turned yellow, probably due to sun exposure.

I've got old magnetic cover that was created for Page (dark one, red inside, that was bundled in eu shop)- it's perfect, and works great - nothing loose and didn't fall out even with heavy shaking :)
