I took a road trip to Taketa City and Beppu City in Oita Prefecture. The tofu dishes were absolutely delicious, the beef tendon mapo tofu was fantastic, and the soy milk soft serve ice cream was just the right amount of sweet. The deep-fried tofu was also superb. In Beppu, I found a beef stew with incredibly tender beef. I'll never forget the refreshing taste of the home-roasted coffee. The cheesecake was also fantastic. I also went to a hot spring and experienced a Goemon-style bath for the first time. It was a very relaxing natural hot spring. This was another very enjoyable road trip.
