What an interesting story with some very fine acting. The stars look so young and probably were. Dorothy Lamour played one of her most interesting roles and she was so good. Henry and Linda were in their prime and looked so beautiful. Loved this movie.
After Dorothy leaves for the rival outfit with the elephant, you just knew that the only solution was for Linda to do the bareback act in tights. They could have put Dorothy onto the jumbo in a miniskirt ...
wow! henry fonda at that age, not knowing what a huge career he'd have, how famous he'd become.... i've never seen him when he was so young. that voice, the same as ever. always recognizable. i've always loved his voice. it looks like he first went by henry king, huh, i didn't know that. he was a great actor. one of the best. just wonder what good character qualities he had.... ty for posting.

As a denizen of Rochester, I find it all too probable that the Rochester Water would kill off the lion. Also--since Henry's family was from upstate NY (Fonda, NY to be precise), he certainly didn't have to work on the aaaayksent.
