I really appreciate how honest and neutral Richard is. He’s not afraid to be critical when talking about Crystal Brush or social media, but at the same time, he’s super positive about the miniatures and painting. He just feels authentic, and if you got feedback from him, you’d know it’s the real deal. He gave me feedback once, and now I trust it way more.

Great interview and questions! I like how you’re able to professionally disagree with rich or each other and also find common ground. Makes it a much more engaging conversation to listen to. Thanks for everything you guys do.

Great video guys. Really enjoyed that talk. Richard and his art is a pillar in this community and definitely a person to look up to.

Great episode! Rich is always a wealth of useful information and easily one of the best mini painters ever.

Great interview and great job allowing rich to speak for long stretches. Oftentimes, it feels like interviewers cut off the guest to interject. Great content fellas

About the base size thing: it is interesting to think about a given base size as an intrinsic limitation for an entry and an opportunity for both restraint and creativity within that limitation. What does it count as when people slot gaming bases into an overall diorama plinth?

Good interview!

If I could create my own version of a competition it would be a version that I would call "King of the Hill". Where you have to literally take your miniature and enter it in an actual battle and win. It would be a very prestigious award where you would first have to play against others in that specific category game wise, then the top (50 or however many) winners would then get to submit their "battle hardened" miniatures for them to be judged in an exclusive paint competition judged by the same people that judge the other normal painted competitions.

Subscribed just based on this interview.

I see that the Fire Department Chronicles has started a new channel!

Just joking ;P

Thank you so much for this video, takes away some of the pressure I felt when painting lately.

Mossy rock and resin pour meta!

Man, when he talked about Fulgrim being painful.
I felt that...

AMAZING chat, I love his takes and general painting priorities.
You two are sexy as always, no need to mention, is there? oh, oops.

Great discussion! But gaming bases Don’t belong at GD 😂
