Your property is so beautiful. I love the views of the adjoining countryside. You are both such strong talented and resourceful women. …. And your cast of characters- peacocks, cats and chickens - are just charming. Your channel is a favorite of mine. Thank you!

You are an inspiration to not giving up.  Sometimes your tasks seem so hard and physically exhausting, but you still get the job done. You are both amazing women!  Go girls!

For your garden …. Use a 10 gallon bucket, cut base out , drill small holes in side, lid on top ,  bury it in the garden bed, put compost in the bucket. The worms will compost all the vegetable matter into wonderful fertiliser for your garden. Make one for each garden bed and you will never have to fertilise your beds.  This works very very well and saves lots of work.

Ladies, there is actually a small tube called a pipe cutter that makes quick work of cutting a pipe. I learned that the hard way. ~Ginene

I love your garden and high tunnel! I’ve seen people use a corkscrew dog tie out to anchor their tunnels. They screw into the ground about 12” to 18” and have a swivel ring on the top. They clip a carabiner to the ring and attach it to the rail on the bottom of the tunnel. One on each corner would keep it from blowing away in high winds.

🙋‍♀️❤️.There just aren't enough words.  I'm so glad you two are in the world.  Thanks for sharing.

Concreting the poly tunnel  into the ground with secure it better than wood.

When I was a child, we made slingshots from strips of inner tubes and 'Y'  shaped branches.

Filling raised beds is easy - cardboard first, then layers of: grass clippings, paper shredding (bills, envelopes, loo roll/kitchen towel innards, etc), chopped up prunings, leaves, kitchen waste, layers of newspaper, bags of coffee grounds from cafes, buckets of seaweed - anything that will compost in layers of "brown" and "green".  Water.  Let it settle.  Do this again.  You can put turves upside down in there too, layers of woodchip.  Finish off with either your homemade compost or some bagged garden centre stuff and add in some blood, fish and bone.  Start with shallow-rooted things, like strawberries.  You can move them next year when you want that composted bed for something else, but you'll have to top it up again.  if you don't have a shredder or chipper, now would be a good time to get one.  I compost or otherwise use everything that comes out of our garden and we have several cubic metres around the garden waiting to be used.  Just be careful with horse manure - a lot of folk have had a problem with that in the last few years.

I believe you are two hardest working women I've ever seen.

Your homestead is beautiful and I very much like your approach to having your garden a sustainable one - you are always an inspiration

My heart lifts a bit every time I see you have a new video out.  I love your little family.

That's the tiniest pump I've ever seen.

Your garden has come a long way in the making. But, I see your planning and it is growing to be an awesome endeavor! I can hardly wait to see the first sprouts come up. 🚜🚜🚜

Ladies, what a day! Everything looks great. Your previous compost shout be laid across the top of your beds which can be filled cardboard, small sticks and logs, leaves and regular old dirt. You will have a lovely looking set of crops! And, Alex, I agree with you that the beds should be filled to the top! Some hoeing around the plants will help keep the composting bed aerated.
