Thank you for enlightening me about mortal and venial sin, may the Lord guide me to give a true and sincere confession during Lent, 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you so much.

Thank you for sharing this guidance.
I'm so very grateful you're here for us !

I think a very important point is the necessity  to be truly sorry for our sin and go to the sacrament  with humility. Then, we will confess with honesty. For that we need God's help and that of our Guardian Angel. I think to take time in prayer before confession is important, to have a contrite heart and to ask for help.

Amen 🙏🏽 Salve Maria!!!🙏🏽🌹🙏🏽

Salve Maria! Thanks.

Thanks God❤❤

Salve Maria ❤

Salve María

Thanks

Is everything the priest says to you in confession in Persona Christi?
I brought a list of my sins to confession because I write them out when I do my examination of conscience, so I won’t forget them.
A priest told me after I had confessed that writing a list of sins was not important, true contrition was.
I was genuinely contrite but then I wondered is that Jesus speaking to me or the humanity of the priest.
It was quite unsettling.

I appreciate the podcast! But I would encourage you not to say that you're sure that none in the audience have robbed a bank. Some people have done this - or other things that are worse! We want to welcome everyone to Confession, even if people have heavy sins on their shoulders.

So so helpful.  Thank you and God Bless

Jesus did not torture the woman at the well.  Pope Francis told priests to be gentle in confession.

Sometimes some of the priests   use confessions as examples in  sermon  which is sometimes shameful.

Confession for some people is not easy, I know some of my sins that I confessed was hard for me to accept and express. I thought confession was about being honest for what you have done and repenting? I got punished for things I didn’t do or say I got punished for things other people did and said. I have always been honest about what I have done and taken responsibility for it but I will not take responsibility for things I haven’t said or done I don’t care how much people keep trying to force me and abuse and bully me to confess to things that I haven’t done. I am tired of being punished because other people and what they did to me and the lies they told me and about me. It takes a very humble and courageous person to bare all in confession. I have come a long way even with everyone abusing bullying and going out of their way to deliberately hurt me. By the grace of God I am still alive and now have a roof over my head. I am far from perfect but I have worked very hard on myself and I did not deserve what I got put through. I am moving forward and trying to heal even with everything these people are doing amen 🙏💚
