Actor Elvin Ng Reunites With Former Helper Who Supported His Mum In Grief | On The Red Dot

CNA Insider

Actor Elvin Ng and his mother travel to Indonesia to surprise Jumi — their former helper who spent six years with the family through some of the most pivotal years of their lives.

As Elvin found his footing in the entertainment industry, Jumi was a quiet source of support through his long and gruelling days. She was especially close to his mother, becoming a pillar of support after Elvin’s father passed away suddenly in 2012.

More than a decade after Jumi returned to Indonesia to start a family of her own, Elvin and Linda reunite with her in Depok City and step into the life she has built since leaving Singapore. Through treasured keepsakes, old recipes and memories, Elvin discovers how much his family still means to Jumi and how a bond that quietly faded with time was never truly lost.

The first thing Jumi asked "Are you healthy?" Even after all these years she is still concerned about her employers. Such a golden heart. Goes to show that she was treated like family.

Can see the family very well taught.

Don't know if my prawn mee is as nice as Sir's, then she cries. This was so hard to watch I'm crying my eyes out 😢

Elvin is such a rare gem! Look at the way he holds the mum everytime they are walking ! Hard to find such child these days, they don't even have time to meet their parents for a meal !

You know Elvin has made it in life when he stays in a landed property and doesn't need to do livestream selling.

Elvin Ng is so sweet and handsome 🥹❤️ So much more attractive since hitting his 40s. Sweet of him to hold his mother’s hands constantly 😊 So glad they reunited with Jumi.. She even kept the family recipes and cooked prawn mee!! 😭🥹👍🏻 What a blessing.

This is such a heartwarming episode. It's apparent that Elvin and his mother treat Jumi as family, and Jumi loves them as family too. I hope Jumi's dream of setting up a snack shop/restaurant will materialise because she has such a kind heart. CNA, please do an episode in which you bring Jumi and her family to Singapore to visit Elvin and his mom.

Proud of Jumi, she was one of Foreign exchange heroes for Indonesia.. A big thank you to Elvin Ng and his mom for making the time to look for and meet Jumi again.

I like how the family members treat a domestic equally. That's something I really respect like this Actor Elvin. Im starting to like him as a person.

The affection, warmth, and sincerity shared between them and their former helper during their reunion are truly heartwarming to see. Despite the years and distance that have kept them apart, their memories of and regard for each other remain unchanged. Wishing Ms. Jumi and her family all the very best, and may she achieve all her dreams and aspirations.

I'm glad Elvin and his mom did this journey.
It's a lifetime experience. The memory they built couldn't be compared to any amount of money.

But hopefuly, CNA and elvin gave some financial support for Jumi and not just visit for 3 days and then just left like that.

One of the best episode. Jumi cried eating the tart.. next she cried over prawn mee. They're blessing for each other. Hope they stay connected and Elvin assist Jumi in anyway he can. Love this!
